Common questions about buying and selling on DomainLiq
DomainLiq is a domain marketplace that connects sellers with buyers. We handle payments through Stripe (credit cards), USDC (cryptocurrency), and PayPal (direct), holding funds securely until domain transfer is confirmed (except PayPal).
We support three payment methods:
For Card Payments (Stripe):
Stripe also charges ~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.
For USDC Payments (Crypto):
No additional processing fees. Polygon gas fees are typically less than $0.01.
USDC (USD Coin) is a stablecoin cryptocurrency pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. 1 USDC always equals $1 USD. It's issued by Circle, a regulated financial company, and is one of the most trusted stablecoins in the crypto industry.
Polygon has much lower transaction fees compared to Ethereum mainnet. A typical transaction on Polygon costs less than $0.01, while the same transaction on Ethereum could cost $5-50. This makes USDC payments practical for all price ranges.
You can buy USDC on any major cryptocurrency exchange:
After buying, transfer the USDC to your wallet on the Polygon network.
Important: We only accept USDC on Polygon (not Ethereum, BSC, or other networks). If you send USDC on the wrong network, we cannot recover it. Always double-check you're on the Polygon network before sending.
When a buyer pays with USDC and confirms receipt, the USDC (minus 5% fee) is sent directly to your wallet.
Domains must be priced at $5 or more to accept USDC payments. The domain must also be verified (green badge) for USDC to be available.
PayPal is a direct payment method. When you click "Pay with PayPal", you're redirected to PayPal to send money directly to the seller. DomainLiq is not involved in this transaction.
No. PayPal payments go directly to the seller. DomainLiq does not hold PayPal payments in escrow and cannot issue refunds or mediate disputes. If you have an issue, you must handle it through PayPal's buyer protection program.
Important: You must manually mark domains as "sold" after PayPal sales.
Find a domain you like and click either "Pay with Card" for credit card payment or "Pay with USDC" for cryptocurrency. Complete the checkout and the seller will be notified to transfer the domain to you.
Yes! Whether you pay with card or USDC, your payment is held securely until you confirm receipt of the domain. The seller only gets paid after you click "Confirm Receipt".
Sellers must provide the Authorization Code within 48 hours. If they don't, you're entitled to a full refund (card) or USDC return (crypto). Contact [email protected].
Contact us immediately at [email protected]. We'll investigate and if the code is invalid, expired, or fake, you'll receive a full refund.
You have 7 days from when the seller provides the Authorization Code. After 7 days, funds are automatically released to the seller.
Card payments: Funds are sent to your Stripe account, then to your bank (2-3 business days).
USDC payments: USDC is sent directly to your Polygon wallet (usually within minutes).
Both methods require you to provide the Authorization Code and for the buyer to confirm receipt (or 7-day auto-release).
If you provided a valid Authorization Code and the buyer doesn't confirm within 7 days, the funds are automatically released to you.
The homepage features domains priced under $1,000 to focus on quick liquidation. Higher-priced domains are visible on your profile page.
Verification proves you control the domain's DNS. Add a TXT, A, or NS record to get a green verified badge. A record verification also enables a free "For Sale" landing page! Note: Domain verification is required regarding to accept USDC payments.
