How to safely buy domains on DomainLiq

🪙 Pay with USDC

Pay with PayPal

Step 1: Browse Domains

Step 2a: Purchase with Card (Stripe)

⚡ Instant Checkout

  1. Click the "Pay with Card" button on any domain
  2. Enter your email and payment details
  3. Complete the secure Stripe checkout
  4. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately

Step 2b: Purchase with USDC (Crypto)

🪙 Crypto Checkout

  1. Click the purple "Pay with USDC" button
  2. Enter your email address (for order confirmation)
  3. You'll see the escrow wallet address and exact USDC amount
  4. Open your crypto wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc.)
  5. Make sure you're on the Polygon network
  6. Send the exact amount of USDC to the displayed address
  7. Copy and paste your transaction hash to verify payment
  8. You'll receive a confirmation email once verified

💡 What is USDC?

USDC is a stablecoin cryptocurrency pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. 1 USDC always equals $1. It's issued by Circle and is one of the most trusted stablecoins. You can buy USDC on any major crypto exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken) and transfer it to your wallet.

⚠️ Important: Use Polygon Network

DomainLiq accepts USDC only on the Polygon network (not Ethereum mainnet). Polygon has much lower transaction fees (~$0.01 vs $5-50 on Ethereum). Make sure your wallet is set to the Polygon network before sending USDC.

Step 2c: Purchase with PayPal (Direct)

⚠️ Important: PayPal is a Direct Transaction

When you pay with PayPal, DomainLiq is not involved in the transaction. This means:

  • Payment goes directly to the seller's PayPal account
  • You must accept the terms before proceeding
  • If there's an issue, you handle disputes through PayPal
  • DomainLiq cannot refund or mediate PayPal payments
  • We recommend using Card or USDC when available for added security

Tip: Only use PayPal with sellers you trust. Check their verification status and track record.

Step 3: Receive the Domain

Step 4: Transfer the Domain

Step 5: Confirm Receipt

⚠️ Important: Confirm Within 7 Days

Once you've received the domain, click the "Confirm Receipt" button in your email. This releases the payment (card or USDC) to the seller.

Note: If you don't confirm within 7 days, funds are automatically released to the seller. Only leave unconfirmed if there's an issue with the transfer.

Refund Policy

Alternative: Escrow.com

For high-value domains ($500+) or if you prefer traditional escrow, look for the "Escrow" button. This redirects you to Escrow.com for a secure third-party transaction.

Red Flags to Watch For

  • Seller asks for payment outside DomainLiq (direct wallet transfers, etc.)
  • Asks you to send to a different address than shown in our checkout
  • Can't provide proof of ownership
  • Price is too good to be true
  • Pressures you to act quickly
  • Domain is not verified (no green shield)
